Tell us about yourself – Your overall experience in education field, National / International experiences, variety of work you have done in the education field.

My name is Rahul Bhavnagar and I am from Saharanpur, having done master in commerce and pursing B.Ed. from bsi college Roorkee. I have done bcc and ccc computer course from Nielit. I have 2 year experience in Atelier Automobile Pvt Ltd as a cashier. Currently I am working VSM public school Saharanpur as a math teacher.

How did you choose the field of education? Was it by choice or some inspiration from someone or a childhood dream?  Please help with more details.

Schools have always been the most comfortable and engaging working environment for me being surrounded by young & imaginative minds. My reading and writing were shabby and not up to the mark and this had shattered my confidence. My class teacher Ms. Babita mam built my confidence in every field, her profound influence on my life and career has been motivation for me to become a teacher.

What would you like to mention for your greatest achievements in field of education? Which gives you a sense of satisfaction?

A teacher does not work for serve administration, he works to serve to students .I encourage you to pick two or three students out of each class that appear to be challenge and set a goal to turn them around. Try to catch them doing something well and praise them in front of the class. Keep touch in those students who are not serious in study and attend parents meeting and tell the students weakness and ability so this method students will going to path of success and our student success is my success.

How has the education system changed as per your view since you were a student yourself?

As a student my views to changing in education system is first of all that cbse has so lengthy syllabus provided to students. This leads to student’s life always busy in syllabus studying. Little are they aware of India’s current news because their every day is spent with doing homework and schools work so schools please give your student some space for him / her to see the world his talent and art.

What are the qualities you think an individual should possess to be a good teacher or work in field of education?

My personal views to get the best out of teacher are to work very hard and motivate every student & support bright students to support weak students. My mission is every student who needs study I gave him full support and help building a career.

How do you handle discipline problems in today’s world? What is the most difficult aspect of discipline for you?

Talk about the current position of India in education field is not good so we work on weak sections and build their confidence. I like challenges because every work is not easy. We do step by step and we get success. My difficultly is that every student who have a sharp mind some times are disturbing the class. I love to handle such students who are high on energy and intelligence.

If you were to change 1-2 things in our Indian education system, what would be those & why?

My first thing that study is most important in this time but some person don’t want study so try to say him what is your aim and hobby to build a career. My first view is for those teachers who are very experienced and confident but he is not doing their duty. I want these teachers to give his time to students for built a career and my second view is for students who do not give appropriate respect to teachers. I want such students to  support teachers and learn from them.

What is your philosophy of teaching?

It must reflect the essence of your teaching method, thoughts and ideas. I think that the purpose of teaching is providing students with a framework with which they can test the limits of their intellectual prowess.

What are your suggestions or guidance for today’s parents in shaping up children’s personality? Especially in this Online or computer age.

My suggestion for parents that give time to your child. Parents must know what is their child doing and

Contact schools and teachers for his/her study update. This age is golden age because many facilities are available like mobiles, laptops and tabs for online study so utilizes this time and achieve your goal to develop the child.

What are the three most important strengths you possess that will make you a successful teacher? Also any weakness in you which you want to improve upon?

My strength is dedicated working for students, hard work and self-motive students  to make them solve issues on their own. My weakness is I believe every person and help me.

What do you want to accomplish in your profession in next 5 years?

I want my future as a successful teacher built it as a strong profession step by step and achieve my goal time to time. I have few milestones set in my mind and would like to reach them one by one

Any other things you would like to share about yourself, your profession, your hobbies, your views?

My hobby is listening music, playing cricket, and keeping an update on current affairs.

How would you rate our website yayskool.com especially this teacher spotlight program? 1 being the worst, 5 being the best.

I think it’s a very good initiative from Yayskool and would like to rate it anything between 4 and 5.

TEACHERS SPOTLIGHT PROGRAM

The role of a teacher in society is both significant and valuable. It has far-reaching influence on the society he lives in and no other personality can have an influence more profound than that of a teacher. Students are deeply affected by the teacher's love and affection, character, competence, and moral commitment.

Yet teachers don't get their due respect and credit these days. We have started a Teacher Spotlight program where we recognise the effort of these silent and true Heroes of our society and tell their story.
