The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10th and class 12th annual board examination for the academic year 2019-20 will be held in the month of February-March 2020. The students can expect to get the CBSE 10th & 12th Board Exam 2020 date sheet by the end of December 2019. CBSE Board Exam 2020: Biology  question paper pattern

Total theory paper of the Class 12th Biology subject is of 70 marks while 30 marks are for the practical exam. The 12th Biology theory paper has to be completed in three hours only. The CBSE Class 12th Biology board exam paper will consist of a total of 27 questions divided into five sections. All the questions are compulsory.

 

Section A:

It contains 5 multiple choice questions of one mark each

Section B:

It contains 6 short answer type questions of two marks each

Section C:

It contains 8 short answer type questions of three marks each

Section D:

It contains 3 case-based short answer type questions of three marks each

Section E:

It contains 3 long answer type questions of five marks each

 

There will be no overall choice in the question paper. However, internal choices are provided in two questions of one mark, one question of two marks, two questions of three marks and all three questions of five marks.

CBSE 12th Biology Exam 2020: Important preparation tips & tricks

1) Read NCERT book thoroughly: The students need not follow any other reference books besides NCERT textbook as all questions asked in the CBSE Class 12 Biology paper is prepared from within the text. Read the textbook thoroughly to develop a conceptual understanding of all the topics under Biology.

2) Do not skip chapters: Students must not leave out any portion of the syllabus. All the chapters given in the textbook are important and questions will be asked from each of them. Hence, give equal importance to each chapter and try to complete and then revise the entire syllabus.

3) Set a timeline: Setting a timeline for study is very important to progress in the right direction.

4) Previous years' paper & mock/sample papers: practice the previous year question paper and sample/model question papers to check your progress and improve the speed & accuracy.
