Exams - are tough and stressful.  I am sure everyone had or having this thought when exams are just around and everyone is busy in preparation. Luckily, there are ways to deal with exam stress and achieve the marks you want. We will explore here 5 simple tips for success in exams.


5 simple tips for success in exams


1: Prepare a schedule 

The 1st tip is to Get Organized. Prepare a study scheduleand work out how much time you need for each subject. Give a little attention to each subject and give a break to your brain every 45 mins and you will realise the benefits.

Study a little each day and give your brain a break every 45 minutes. Avoid cramming the night before – it’s not the way to guarantee a good mark.


2: Participate in group studies

Form a study group with friends. It’ll provide you with variety and moral support, additionally it’s motivating to have people around you who are working towards the same goals.


3: Manage stress

Exam stress is perfectly normal – in fact, a little bit of stress can be a positive motivator. However, too much of it can negatively affect your performance. So, take regular breaks, exercise daily, and spend time relaxing with friends. If you begin to feel frustrated or overwhelmed, step away from the books for a while.


4: Ask for help

Don't fight this alone, ask your teachers, siblings or parents for help. These are the people who cares and will be glad to assist you. 

If you need clarification on a topic you’re struggling with, then ask them to talk you through it. Don’t panic in silence when there’s a support network around you.


5: Prepare the night before

Pack everything you will need in morning into a bag the night before. This way you can avoid a last-minute rush the next day.

Focus on revising your study notes, relax and get a good sleep. Rest is good for your brain. So, make sure, you are getting 8 hours of sleep. 

Once you reach to examination room, 

  • Read the instructions carefully
  • Allocate sufficient time for each question
  • Be mindful of time and keep an eye on clock
  • Skip the question you don't know the answer and return to it later
  • Never leave an exam early, use your time given to fully complete and revise your answers. 

Finally – keep calm and you will be fine.
